I've driven by this area countless times. I've made mental notes telling myself to just go there. So a few days ago, I went! If you never visited the Indiana War Memorial, I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful, quiet area nestled just north of Monument Circle. The flag flies high, soldiers and veterans are honored. Fountains and statues and grand monuments decorate the promenade. Benches are placed every so often so you can relax, enjoy the view, and reflect on what a great country we live in. What a perfect place to take a stroll on a sunny day...especially with a camera! I devised a scavenger hunt of sorts to challenge myself and my fellow photography colleagues to search for details here, to carefully study the surroundings, and see something different. We focused on concepts such as line, color, shape, texture, pattern, symmetry, and more. Here are some of my favorites. Please leave a comment to let me know your favorite!
