Newborn Twins | Harry James + Lucy Magnolia

One of my last sessions before taking a little time off to prepare for the arrival of our baby was with one of the sweetest families I've ever met.  Allison and Greg are proud parents to twins, Harry James and Lucy Magnolia.  And their story is quite an amazing one.  Harry and Lucy were born at 28 weeks.  They stayed in the hospital, getting stronger and stronger each day.  They arrived home happy and healthy the week of their session, and I was so excited to meet them!  They are absolutely beautiful!  And their nursery is incredible!  Perfectly designed for a brother and sister, full of fun and colorful modern details.  Family and friends can view their entire online gallery here.  Let's get right to some of my favorites from the day!

A favorite!

Handsome Harry on the left, and lovely Miss Lucy on the right!

I had to include the Sneak Peek I posted on Facebook...I just love this one!

Allison, you are a beautiful mom!

Another favorite.

Greg plays guitar, so it was only fitting to incorporate his colorful case!
Harry took a nice little snooze inside!  :)

Lucy was ready to play, while Harry (right) was sound asleep!

Harry, you are too cute!!!

Lucy has the sweetest little lips and nose!

 Harry's ten little toes

Lucy flexed and wiggled her little feet!

One happy family!

Allison and Greg, thank you so much for allowing me to document this exciting time in your lives! Harry and Lucy are so blessed with fun and loving parents.  And they are both beyond adorable!!! Congratulations to you both!
Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Avon Gardens Wedding | Claire + Mike

On a beautiful August morning, they prepared for the walk down the aisle, the heartfelt vows that would have everyone, including me, teary-eyed and more in love with love, and the kiss that would make it official.  Blue skies and bright sunshine made Avon Gardens sparkle and glisten with anticipation and happiness as two souls would soon be bound together as one among the flourishing plants and lush green grass, despite the summer's heatwave.

Claire prepared in the bridal suite, along with her mother and bridesmaids.  Soft light streamed in as she put finishing touches on her makeup.  She quietly added a beautiful pearl necklace, and held on to her grandmother's handkerchief.  For in just moments she would be meeting her soon-to-be husband in the garden.

Meanwhile, Mike and his groomsmen occupied the mens' quarters as they tied ties and shoe laces, buttoned vests, and donned their jackets.  For in just moments he would be greeting his soon-to-be wife in the garden.

Mike waited for her in the garden.  As Claire approached him, they both smiled to themselves, knowing that in just moments they would be together forever.

And on that beautiful August morning, in an enchanting garden, surrounded by their dearest loved ones and closest friends, they promised their hearts would forever belong to each other.

Claire and Mike, thank you so much for the honor of documenting your wedding day, it was one that I will never forget.  You are truly blessed with a sweet and loving family and circle of friends.  I hope that your honeymoon was beyond amazing!  Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness and love to you!
Family and friends can view the Online Gallery here.  A huge thank you to Claire and Mike for your patience with me...shooting the wedding a month before the arrival of our little boy, coupled with the fact that he was a little early, has been a challenge to get everything accomplished as I would have hoped!  Without further adieu, here are some of my favorites from their lovely day!

Claire, you were such a beautiful bride! A favorite!

Time for their First Look. Oh how I love when a couple opts to do a First Look!  Not only did we have more time for photos, but we were able to get the family portraits done prior to the ceremony so that guests could go celebrate with friends and loved ones at the reception.

A First Look allows for sweet moments together, like this:

So many favorites from the day are from the First Look, especially these next two images:

Love this!

They signed the Marriage Certificate before the ceremony.

Another favorite from the day, the groom and his Mom share a sweet hug.

And then it was go time!

Their reception was held under a perfect fairytale tent.

Each centerpiece included baby photos of Claire and Mike as they grew up,
what an awesome personal  detail!

Another wonderful detail was a soda bar from the groom's hometown of St. Louis!

After cake and toasts, the couple made their exit down a bubble-filled path through the garden.

Claire and Mike, what a perfectly lovely day the two of you had!
It was such an honor and joy to be able to witness it!

A huge thank you to my dear husband Reggie for all of his help on this day! xo
