Remington's 1st Birthday

How did I forget to blog photos from Remington's 1 year session?!  Everyone told me that once you have children, time flies by even faster...I've come to realize that everyone was so right about that!  We celebrated Remington's first birthday with our family and close friends, and it was the perfect day!  We had beautiful sunshine and a nice breeze.  Remington got a highchair that he "helped" us pick out that day, and he absolutely loved sitting in it and taking in the view!  That evening he fell asleep in my arms and I cried big, happy, bittersweet tears.  Our baby was growing up.  He'd reached a big milestone.  And my how the time seemed to have zoomed by since first meeting him a year ago.  Remington, you are such a joy in our lives, we love you to the moon and back!  A few days after his party, my Mom helped me with Remington's 1 year session.  We were quite a sight to see that day with a stroller, big balloons, a cake, toys, decorations, an overstuffed diaper bag, and camera gear!  Whew!  It was a lot of fun though!  Here are some favorites from that day!

Peek a boo!

Ha ha ha!  I can just hear him squealing in this one!

Oh how I love this face!

After some quick portraits, it was time to bring out the cake and balloons!
Isn't this cake adorable?!  Our sweet friend, Lisa, made it!  Besides being an absolutely delicious chocolate cake, it was decorated even better than I had imagined!  Thank you so much, Lisa!!!

He loved holding onto the number 1!  And he still plays with it when he finds it in his toy bin!
I used some decor from his room too - the letter R and the striped rug.

At his birthday party, once he got a taste of his cake, he just played and played, making a huge chocolate-y mess!  However, this day, he was a little more reserved!

I love that icing was all over his little hands and feet!

Love you, sweet baby boy!  xoxo, Mommy

Eli Scott | 14 days

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting one of my best friend's newest addition, Eli Scott... and boy oh boy is he cute!  At just 14 days old, he was sweet as could be, and he is simply adored by his big sister, Eden (who is 2 and loves to dress up!), and proud parents, Ashley and Ben.  I am beyond happy for this amazing family!  Congratulations, Ashley and Ben, Eli is sheer perfection!  Here are some favorites from our short and sweet session!

Hello precious Eli!   A favorite!

Irresistible little feet and toes!

Baby Eli dozed off and on during his session.

Another favorite!  Just love those little toes!

Swaddled up in one of his late Grandmother's favorite scarves.

Eden was delighted to wear her pretty new dress for the occasion!
You are beautiful, Princess Eden! :)
P.S. I cannot get over just how much you've grown!!!

Such a sweet big sis!  Singing and a gentle touch to soothe her little brother! ;)

Ben, Ashley, Eden, and Eli, thank you for the honor of capturing
the newest member of your lovable family!  So blessed to have you all in my life!
Congratulations to you!  Eden and Eli are adorable!

Stewart Imagery's First Bridal Show!

If you follow Stewart Imagery on Facebook, you probably saw the post regarding the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show at the gorgeous Scottish Rite Cathedral.  Well, it was my first bridal show... and it was such a fun and exciting experience!  I must start by thanking my wonderfully talented and creative husband, Reggie, for designing and building my booth!  I gave him a wish list of ideas, and he made them come to life, and it turned out so much better than I could have dreamed!  Countless hours were spent daydreaming, planning, designing, building, painting, decorating, deconstructing, transporting, setting up, and tearing down.  With only about 4 hours of sleep the night before the show, we were running on coffee, but more so on the exhiliration that comes with meeting and talking to hundreds of new people in a lively and oh so beautiful environment!  Despite the snowy weather, everything came together perfectly.  We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful and excited newly engaged brides and couples and their families.  Thank you to all brides, vendors, and friends who came to visit us over the 2 day show!

A little something was created for each bride on the spot to celebrate their engagement!
P.S. Isn't this a gorgeous engagement ring?  Wowza!

Was it difficult to plan for the bridal show?  Yes, planning for a bridal show took a lot of time and effort.  Was I nervous?  You betcha!  This was my first event like this, and it seemed that everyone else had been doing this for years, and knew just what to do and what to expect.  Would I do it again?  Definitely!  I tend to be on the shy side when I'm not behind my camera, however, stepping out of my comfort zone, putting my work out there, meeting new people, and trying something new was all worthwhile.  And the feedback we received about our presentation was tremendous, so that was definitely a bonus and made us feel that all of the hard work had paid off!

Thanks again to all who visited Stewart Imagery at the show!
Cheers to an amazing 2014!

A special thank you to our dear friend Tracy who volunteered to help us tear down
and pack up at the end of the event!  We are so grateful for that!!!
And to my parents for taking such great care of our little Remington while we were there! We love you so much!
