Wishing You a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2015!

Reggie and I stayed up late chatting with friends about life and old times.  We had come back to their home to pick up our son Remington after photographing a surprise proposal at the Circle of Lights in downtown Indianapolis.  It had been such a wonderful day!  First, Remington and I met my good friend and her husband from New York for lunch before walking around the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  It was so fun to introduce them to Remington!  He hammed it up for them all afternoon and gave them hugs before we left.  It was one of the warmest December days, and we had the windows down a bit as we listened to Christmas music on our way home for his nap time.  This holiday season has been filled with hustle and bustle, as it always is, but I feel like we've taken time to create memories too.  We've taken Remington to see Santa, he's met Rudolph's girlfriend Clarisse, we've watched our favorite childhood Christmas movies (and we still have some that we want him to see!), and we've driven around looking at holiday lights and decorations.  We've also spent quality time with family and friends.  And that has been so needed and so fulfilling!  We'll be doing more of the same over the next several days, and I can't wait to watch Remington enjoy the magic fills this time of year!  Thank goodness we wrapped gifts a few days before Christmas Eve this year!  Last year we waited until the last minute to help Santa get everything ready!  And my new favorite trick for wrapping gifts…hot glue instead of tape!  Why didn't I try this sooner?!  So enough of my pre-morning-coffee rambling…let's get to the main reason that I'm so thankful this year!  My sweet little family!  They love me, and they spoil me every day with hugs, kisses, laughter, and adorableness!  They allow me to do what I love - meeting and photographing wonderful clients for some of their most special moments in life.  I'm so very thankful for the continued support of family, friends, and clients who've made this year another amazing one!  From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Here are some favorites from our summer and fall impromptu family portraits!

These portraits were taken on a gorgeous summer evening at a small park that I've driven by so many times and never noticed how perfect it would be for some photos!

Happy Holidays!!!

Brad + Rasmy + Alex + Lily

This sweet family stole my heart during their session!  I'm so lucky to meet such wonderful people!  Brad and Rasmy are so kind and so genuine, and they're the best parents to two adorable kiddos, 3 year old Alex and his sister Lily who's 1!  Together, they are a happy-go-lucky bunch that love life and making every moment count.  We had a perfect fall evening for their family portraits, around their cozy home and colorful neighborhood.  Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!

Alex, I looooove your smile!

Lily loves being chauffeured around in her big brother's John Deere truck!

The faster Alex drives, the more Lily loves it! A favorite!

This family loves the Colts!

Alex loved running and "tackling" his Dad with hugs!

Gorgeous ladies!

So cute!!!

While Alex took Lily for another drive, I took a few portraits of Rasmy and Brad.  I just loved the green leafy wall in their backyard!  And the way these two make each other smile!

Rasmy, you are beautiful.  Beautiful!

Peek-a-boo, Alex!  I see you! Ha!

Lily, you are so cute!  She loves walking on her own and with her favorite push toy!

Aren't these two adorable?!

So much gorgeous fall color with the leaf-covered sidewalk and trees in the distance!

Brad, Rasmy, Alex, and Lily, thank you for such a relaxed and easy-going session!  Thank you for welcoming me into your home and for sharing such a fun-filled evening!  I truly enjoyed spending time with your sweet family!

Graham | Happy 1st Birthday + Fall Themed Cake Smash

It seems like it was just the other day when I first met Graham for his newborn session!  He celebrated his first birthday in October, and visited me at the studio for some portraits and a fall themed cake smash!  His mom, Kristen, mentioned that he wasn't that into his birthday cake, so maybe this time he'd be excited for some icing and cake!  It turns out that he was more interested in the mini pumpkins, bumpy gourds, and colorful leaves than any frosting with sprinkles!  None of that mattered because we got some handsome portraits of this happy and sweet little guy, who had just started walking not long before coming over!  Graham, thank you for sharing your afternoon with me! You are just adorable!!!

Hello, Graham!  A favorite!

Don't you love those squishy little cheeks? And that little pout?

He loved being soooo tall!

OMG!!!  Adorable!!!

Handsome little guy!

Then it was time for cake!

Who needs cake when there are pumpkins to play with?!  Ha!

After cake, it was time for a few more portraits before wrapping up his session.

This pumpkin was just the right size for a little seat!

Graham, you are so cute and such a sweetheart!
Thank you for celebrating your 1st birthday with me!
Can't wait to see you again!!!
