Senior | Class of 2016 | Christian

Pin It Happy Friday!  Fall is one of my favorite seasons, tied with Spring!  And speaking of favorites, senior sessions are one of mine too!  I love when I get to work such inspiring and down-to-earth people, and this handsome guy has such a bright and wonderful future ahead of him!  Meet Christian, Class of 2016!  I had the honor of documenting this exciting milestone, and we had such a fun time on a beautiful early fall afternoon!  A few days before our session, Christian had officially signed on as a future baseball star for Taylor University!  His family is incredibly proud of him!  Aside from being an athlete, he loves spending time with family, helping on his Grandfather's farm (as you'll see below), and has a very generous heart and a passion for helping others.  His family is currently on a mission trip, just one of several that they've experienced together over the years.  I always count my blessings, especially when it comes to all of the amazing clients I have the honor of meeting and photographing!  As a mother to a son (and soon to my second son!), it was interesting and very special to photograph this session.  For one thing, Christian possesses so many wonderful qualities, all that would make a parent so very proud.  And just imagining Remington as a senior one day…I still cannot quite believe that he's a 3-year-old!  All of this makes me love what I do that much more.  One amazing client, Christian.  His amazing story, one filled with family, compassion, and talent.  And the amazing future that awaits him!  Please enjoy some of my many favorites from the day!

Oh the light!  A favorite!  We had such a perfect day!

We traveled to his high school for photos on his home field.  It was so cool to see him in his element!

Yessss!

Love both of these!

As I mentioned, Christian helps out on his Grandfather's farm.  When his Mom told me that he had helped breed this sweet baby goat, I knew we had to get photographs of them together!  Isn't she adorable!!!

Favorites!

Her rare markings make her quite a special goat!

We stayed out with the last of the evening light at a nearby farm.  Christian brought along his Jeep, which was a perfect addition to the location!

Another favorite!

I had the honor of meeting and photographing Christian's family last fall, so I wanted to share a couple favorites from their fun session!  (I've been a bit behind on blogging and plan to catch up soon!)

Loooooove!
Hi Carter, Kaitlyn, Gina, David, Kennedy, and Christian!

Christian, thank you so much for sharing your day with me!  I'm so excited for you and what your future holds!  Wishing you a fantastic senior year!  Taylor University will be so lucky to have you!
Congratulations!!!

Summer Garden Family Session | Bruce + Ginger + Marissa + Nathanael + Henry

This next family was just a joy to photograph!  Their smiles and laughs the direct result of their togetherness as a family, and it made my job so much fun and oh so easy!  Bruce and Ginger are two kind-hearted souls, proud parents of lovely Marissa and handsome Nathanael.  And their pup!  Oh, how I just adored their beloved dog, Henry!  His bark is one that says, "Please pet me!  I'll be your friend forever!"  So that's what I did!  And as you'll see toward the end of this post, it paid off!  I was all the more excited to deliver their images to the family and to Henry, and he was happy too!  Even Remington had the honor of meeting Henry, and he giggled as Henry showered him with sweet doggy kisses while wagging his long tail!  We had a delightful summer evening for some portraits! Let's see a few of my favorites, shall we?

I adore this portrait of Bruce and Ginger!

These two thought I was joking when I asked them to stand together…some of my favorite sibling portraits!  I think it's safe to say their whole family will love these!  And it's my hope that Marissa and Nathanael will too!  You two are adorable!

They have their serious side too.  ;)

Marissa, you are so pretty!

Nathanael had only one request, which was to have a photo with this fantastic textured barn.  I was happy to oblige!  Love these!

Did I mention that we had lovely light?  Well, we certainly did!

See what I mean?!  I was just melting during this session, not because it was hot… because of this.
I merely asked them to go sit on the swing.
lovelovelove.

And then Henry joined us and does just what dogs know how to do best.  Make us smile, make us laugh, make us love them almost as much as they love us.

I think I was pretty much giddy during this portion of the session.  I mean, just look at that face!!!

Henry!!!

Such a fun evening!  Thank you so much for sharing it with me, B + G + M + N + H!!!
Can't wait to see you all again!
Remington sends hugs to Henry!  ;)
