I met Lisa almost a year ago.  It turns out that we both have something in common.  One of them being We both love what we do!  She has a knack for making people feel comfortable, and for bringing out the best in them in their work place and in everyday life.  And she just so happened to throw me a surprise baby shower, which was beyond sweet!  She also loves animals, and has since started her own in-home pet care business.  Check out her website here!  We met up on a perfect summer afternoon for some portraits to celebrate loving where she is in life right now.  Her husband and kids are the light of her life, as well as her sweet pups, who you'll meet in just a minute.  Lisa always has a smile to share, and her laugh is contagious.  Her outlook is always bright and sunny, so it was fitting that we had gorgeous sunlight for her session!  Without further adieu, please enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

Family | Tanner + Katie + Kathryn

This time of year, I count my blessings more often than usual.  For example, I photographed a sweet senior in late summer, as well as another wonderful senior last fall, and they both referred this next adorable family to me!  It's no wonder I love my job - my amazing clients refer their amazing friends and family to me, and the amazingness keeps on going!  I truly do have the best clients!  Meet Tanner and Katie, and their beyond adorable daughter, Kathryn, who was just shy of 5 months old for our session!  She was all smiles as we started the session out in her colorful nursery before heading to their family's lovely wooded land!  As the sun set, it quickly turned quite chilly out so we made things happen so little Kathryn wouldn't freeze!  It was so fun to witness just how much they adore their daughter!  And once you see her bright eyes and smile, I'm sure you will too!  Thank you, Tanner, Katie, and Kathryn, for sharing your evening with me!  Can't wait to hang out again!  Friends and family can view their online gallery here.  And now for some favorites from the day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello friends!  Just a quick post to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!


Of course, I'm thankful for many things: my amazing husband, loving and supportive family and friends, my health, a job that I love, our pup and kitty, a warm home, etc.  However, this holiday I am especially thankful, because we have a new family member to celebrate with us! As most of you know, my husband and I had our first child in September.  And life hasn't been the same since.  Remington has been such a joy (despite fussy times!), and he is already 2 months old!  His bright smile, sweet cooing, and snuggling have brightened our days in ways that we didn't know possible.  And for this, I am so thankful.  I hope to share some of his newborn session soon!   For now, here are just a few photos that take note of fall's colorful beauty.
