Seaside Session: Snowy Egret + Royal Tern + Sandpipers + Pelicans!

Pin It I know I've mentioned a few times that I took a lot of photos while in Florida...and on this particular trip, I fell in love with some of the cutest, most beautiful birds!  Seagulls, Royal Terns, brown pelicans, and the ever elegant Snowy Egret.  Here are some more photos from our seaside session.

Mr. Serious Snowy Egret!  All business!

Soon he was testing the water, and posing in front of a local resort across the bay.

And then he began to frolic in the water!  One of my favorites! I love his fluffy mane!

I turned around and saw my other feathered friend watching and waiting
for his turn (Royal Tern...no pun intended!) in front of the camera.

And it wouldn't be a perfect day at the beach without these adorable little Sandpipers
They are so quick and nimble.  And check out their balancing skills!

A feathered face off!

 The 4 Amigos!

Who knew that these birds would enjoy having their photo taken!
Have a great day!

I *heart* Palm Trees!

Pin It There's just something about palm trees that I love!  Maybe it's because seeing one usually means I'm somewhere warm, sunny, tropical, beautiful...perhaps on a vacation, perhaps sipping a pina colada. There are many different types of palm trees.  In fact, I learned that Florida is home to 27 varieties of this natural beauty; however, only 12 of the 27 are native to Florida.  (Source: Answers.com) No matter how many types there are, I'm a fan of them all.  Here are a few more photos from Florida, featuring...you guessed it, palm trees!

I loved the shadows in the street these palms created as we rode on the scooter in Key West.
And check out the ones in the rear view mirror!  I wish I could say I planned that! ;)

They even look cool from underneath!

Palm trees can make a fun background for cute little seagulls too.

Happy Pink Thursday!

Hello friends!  Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Pink Thursday!  Now you may ask, "Pink Thursday"...what's that?  Well, I made it up!  The following photos can explain it though...enjoy!

One of the most beautiful sunsets ever...amazing!

Another view of the same sky

Reggie's Mom has this lovely botanical on her front porch...I believe this is a Bromeliad.
It's tropical, it's ornate, and it's pink!

Happy Pink Thursday to you!  Do you  have any favorite items that happen to be pink?
