Lucy Beatrice | Almost 1

It seems like just last week I was photographing this sweet baby girl at home with her family... And soon she will be turning 1!  Time flies!  She came over to the studio (more on this coming soon!) for some portraits to document her upcoming birthday.  Lucy loves to crawl and will soon be walking!  She is quick too!  Lucy, you are just a doll!  Those bright and beautiful blue eyes, that sweet smile, and absolutely adorable wardrobe - it was a whirlwind of cuteness!  I want to wish you a wonderfully happy 1st birthday!  Family and friends can view her online gallery here.  Here are a few favorites to enjoy!

Seriously pretty, Miss Lucy!

Lucy, thank you so much for coming to visit me!
You are such a sweetheart, and such a happy baby girl!
Happy Birthday to you!!!

Remington's 1st Birthday

How did I forget to blog photos from Remington's 1 year session?!  Everyone told me that once you have children, time flies by even faster...I've come to realize that everyone was so right about that!  We celebrated Remington's first birthday with our family and close friends, and it was the perfect day!  We had beautiful sunshine and a nice breeze.  Remington got a highchair that he "helped" us pick out that day, and he absolutely loved sitting in it and taking in the view!  That evening he fell asleep in my arms and I cried big, happy, bittersweet tears.  Our baby was growing up.  He'd reached a big milestone.  And my how the time seemed to have zoomed by since first meeting him a year ago.  Remington, you are such a joy in our lives, we love you to the moon and back!  A few days after his party, my Mom helped me with Remington's 1 year session.  We were quite a sight to see that day with a stroller, big balloons, a cake, toys, decorations, an overstuffed diaper bag, and camera gear!  Whew!  It was a lot of fun though!  Here are some favorites from that day!

Peek a boo!

Ha ha ha!  I can just hear him squealing in this one!

Oh how I love this face!

After some quick portraits, it was time to bring out the cake and balloons!
Isn't this cake adorable?!  Our sweet friend, Lisa, made it!  Besides being an absolutely delicious chocolate cake, it was decorated even better than I had imagined!  Thank you so much, Lisa!!!

He loved holding onto the number 1!  And he still plays with it when he finds it in his toy bin!
I used some decor from his room too - the letter R and the striped rug.

At his birthday party, once he got a taste of his cake, he just played and played, making a huge chocolate-y mess!  However, this day, he was a little more reserved!

I love that icing was all over his little hands and feet!

Love you, sweet baby boy!  xoxo, Mommy

John + Sarah + Alice + Henry

This is a bittersweet post.  Reggie and I were introduced to Sarah and John just over 5 years ago.  We attend the same church, and have loved getting to know them because they are so nice, so fun to hang out with, and they are just amazing people.  Their little ones are absolutely adorable!  Alice is a little over 2 1/2 and her handsome little brother is just over 8 months old now.   They are in the process of moving out of state, and we will miss them so much!  I'm crossing my fingers that photo sessions will work out when they come back to visit family!  Earlier this summer, we had a beautiful morning for a family session to celebrate Father's Day.  John, Sarah, Alice, and Henry, it has been such an honor to know you and to call you friends.  And the icing on the cake has been documenting some wonderful family times.  You are beautiful people, inside and out, and I know that this isn't goodbye, just farewell until we see you again.  Birmingham is oh so lucky to have you!  Best wishes for a safe and easy move!  And now for some of my favorites from our latest - not our last! - session!

Such a happy family!

 Alice, you are so pretty!

Love this!

Hi Henry!

I just loved hearing his little giggles as his Daddy made him fly and flip upside down!

Sarah and John are wonderful parents, their little ones bring them so much joy, which shines so brightly in the faces of little Henry and Alice.

Don't you love their smiles?  Me too!

Adorable!

A perfect morning...

John, Sarah, Alice, and Henry, thank you so much for the true honor of photographing your family over the past few years!  Can't wait to see you again soon!
