Indianapolis Mother + Daughter Session

What a beautiful summer evening we had for these fun, sweet, and colorful mother and daughter portraits near downtown Indianapolis! Yes, it was hot! And there were bugs! However, these two were simply amazing and such a delight to have in front of my camera! I adore them both! I have so many favorites, so I'll be short on words and get right to the images! Happy Tuesday!

Did I mention they made my job a breeze? Well, they did, just look at these smiles!

I love how they make every moment count, whether traveling, on an adventure, or just dancing during their photo session!

Morris-Butler House Engagement | Kathy + Mike

One week from today, my amazing brother-in-law Mike will marry his perfect match and woman of his dreams, Kathy! I couldn't ask for a more sweet, kind, caring, down-to-earth sister-in-law! Those are just a few words that describe Mike's bride-to-be! And she makes Mike so completely happy. When they are together, they share little glances. They beam, laugh at each other's jokes, and smile the biggest smiles. Seeing them share such love and happiness is so refreshing and so wonderful to witness. Mike has been keeping a daily countdown to "I do!" on his Facebook page, and Kathy told me she jokingly said to him that he's counting down his last days of freedom. All joking aside, Mike assured Kathy that he couldn't be more excited to make her his wife, and that he'd marry her the very next day if he could! Isn't that so sweet?! I'm beyond excited for their Big Day! They've been planning a beautiful seaside ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family, including Reggie as the Best Man. Have I mentioned that I'm excited?! To celebrate, let's take a look at some of my favorites from their October engagement session at the historic Morris-Butler House in downtown Indianapolis. Kathy and Mike, it has been such an honor to document and share in this exciting time in your lives! Sooo excited for you both!!!

Isn't Kathy's engagement ring beautiful? Fun fact: Mike and Reggie's dad had surprised their mom a pair of sparkling diamond earrings on their anniversary. And now we are both lucky and proud to have these truly meaningful family heirlooms as a reminder of the love our family shared years ago.
