Diana | Holiday Portraits

We met up on a beautiful sunny morning to capture some holiday photos of sweet Miss Diana, who you may remember from her adorable spring session.  Diana's father, Dave, found the cutest green and red polka dot dress and just knew it was be perfect for a holiday themed portrait session!  Add in Diana's strawberry blonde ringlets and sparkling eyes and bit of glitter, and it made for such a fun time! It was quite chilly, so we worked quickly, wrapped her up in a toasty blanket every few minutes and got some beautiful images of their precious girl in record time!  Friends and family can view Diana's entire online gallery here.  Now grab a cup of hot cocoa, a candy cane, and enjoy some favorites!

Such a pretty holiday dress, Diana!

Those eyes...and those curls!

Another favorite!

Love this!

My absolute favorite!  And one of my favorite children's portraits I've ever taken!

Dave, Steph, and Diana, thank you for braving the chilly morning for this session!  I'd say it was totally worth it!  Diana, thank you for being such a sweetheart!  Can't wait to see you all again!
Happy Holidays!

Happy Birthday, America! Fireworks and Creative Freedom

Pin It I hope everyone had a Happy and Safe 4th of July!  We were lucky enough to enjoy 2 amazing fireworks displays over the weekend while visiting with family and friends.  I captured a few images on the 4th and also took a little creative freedom with some of them, in honor of the holiday spirit!  Although I love fireworks, I really like the ones that don't look like fireworks at all...see what you think!

And a perfect lunch on the 4th...grilled BBQ bacon cheeseburgers, sweet and juicy watermelon,
and buttery corn on the cob!  My husband is quite a chef and grillmaster!
Now on to the show!

In black and white you can see how the sparks intertwined with each other, just amazing!

And if you like abstract art, just imagine one of these hanging on a large focal wall...just about any of these would work in any orientation.  Hmm...I think I may have to try this at home!

This is one of my favorites! I love the fireworks that turn into shimmery sparkles,
and this is what that is from, with my own little twist on it.

I remember when I was little, my friends and I would name the fireworks.  One summer, we were fond of using different cereal names, like Apple Jacks and Fruity Pebbles.  Today, I might name this one Trunkless Palms.

I don't think I would ever guess that this one is of fireworks!  I love the color!

This is my absolute favorite!  The color, the lines!
I was so excited when I saw this on my little screen!

Traveling at warp speed!

Which one is your favorite?  Leave a comment to tell us about it!

Another cute family! Thank you to Russ, Kelli and Thad for spending some time with me on such a chilly night! I had lots of fun and hope that you did too!

Thad had fun decorating the tree while listening to holiday music to get in the spirit.

I love this one - mother and son.

Time for a story under the tree.

Father and son share a good book.

Thad is 16 months old and has tons of energy! He's always on the move!
I just love this candid shot!

What a sweet family! Thank you, Russ, Kelli and Thad!
Can't wait to do some outdoor photos with you guys!
Happy New Year to you!

Merry Christmas to you! I have enjoyed this fantastic journey so far the past few months, and I'm excited for what is ahead. I'm continuing to practice, to grow and to learn, and I'm never bored! Thank you to my husband Reggie for your constant faith and positive outlook. Thank you to my family and friends for your love and support. And thank you to all of my clients for making my job so enjoyable and fun! I am so lucky and truly thankful to love what I do.

Tons of new ideas and exciting offerings are coming in 2009! Until then, here are some holiday photos that I would like to share. My husband has a very nice collection of nutcrackers. I love all of their unique expressions and craftsmanship. They were so kind to allow me to photograph them one afternoon!

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Joyeux Noel! Feliz Navidad!

Wishing you a magical Christmas!
