If these cameras could talk, I'm sure their stories would keep us wide-eyed for hours, maybe even days or years. Just imagine the moments these lenses have seen...birthdays, holidays, family vacations, world travels, love stories...so intriguing! I've started a collection of vintage cameras. The ones pictured here have been given to me by family members. And I will always treasure them.

2009 has been a great year for stewart imagery! Thanks to my fabulous clients, friends and family who have helped me learn and grow this year! It is your support and encouragement that keeps me going.

Event: ISAE Star Awards 2009

Pin It In early December, the Indiana Society of Associaton Executives asked me to photograph their event at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. What an incredible venue! And what a great experience for me to shoot at such a location!

The evening started out with a privately sponsored reception. Dinner, drinks and conversation were had during the Silent Auction, where many items were on display. Bed & breakfast suite packages, Colts tickets, autographed books and art, restaurant gift certificates, yoga classes, gift baskets, and more were on display for ISAE members to bid on. All proceeds of the Silent Auction benefitted VSA arts of Indiana. Three artists demonstrated their talents during the Silent Auction as well. Thank you to Victoria Gillieron, Susan Semenick, and Jane Knight for allowing me to capture their art.

Solo Jazz Guitarist, Steve Newby, provided beautifully festive music for all in attentendance.

He is truly talented!

Jane Knight uses only her fingers to create beautiful works of art. It was amazing to watch her painting from start to finish in such detail.

City lights, cocktails, and smiling faces

Delicious desserts!

Festive table decor really set the fun, relaxed tone for the evening.

I love the lights and background frame this beautiful painting by Victoria Gillieron. Indianapolis is home to some very talented and creative souls!

These tickets were a hot item! Go Colts!

Once the Silent Auction ended, it was time for the awards.

Here are just a few of the award winners from the evening. It was clear that all of the winners have worked very hard and were very deserving of their honors. Congratulations to you all!

"ISAE exists to support and strengthen association professionals' success. We provide the state's leading educational and networking events designed specifically for the needs of association executives."

"Our members provide professional leadership to Indiana's outstanding associations. The associations include a broad variety of professions, industries, societies and social organizations. Collectively, they represent hundreds of thousands of members throughout the state, country and world."

The Indianapolis Artsgarden at night. What a fantastic venue!

Thank you to Katie, ISAE's Marketing & Education Coordinator, for inviting me to be a part of this event. And what a fabulous event it was!

A Rainy Night in the City

Pin It A few weeks ago, Reggie and I were downtown for a little bit. It was dark, it was rainy, but it was beautiful and romantic.

I love how the street lights reflect off the wet pavement.

Remember my previous post about bokeh?

This night was the perfect opportunity for some lovely bokeh.

A side by side comparison, my favorite!
Taken from the "safety" of the Artsgarden, over Illinois Street.

Have you ever been caught in the rain? Or traveling in a cool city on a rainy night?

Leave a comment and share your story!

10 Months: Mason

Pin It I'm sure you recognize this little cutie who has appeared several times on my blog now. And I've mentioned before how much fun it has been to watch her grow since she was born back in January. She is fast-approaching her 1st birthday, and I cannot believe it! Mason, you are the sweetest little girl! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture you during your first year, can't wait to see what's next for you! For those of you interested in seeing one of the most adorable "photographic history lessons", click the following links for Mason's newborn, 3 months, 6 months, and family sessions. As soon as I walked in the door, Mason was very curious as to what I brought with me and when her session would begin! She was all business!

Hi there, Mason!

Mason loves books and toys, so we played with them all!

Looking over at Mommy

Those blue eyes!

Move over toys, Mason's hopped in the basket...with some help!

Favorite! Too adorable!

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what Mason's made of!

Lil' Traveler

Yes, another favorite. I've said it before, but she is just a doll!

Love this one too!

Mason, thank you for hanging out with me! Every time I see you I'm amazed at how much you've grown and learned, how your sweet personality shines, and how much your parents love you...all the while becoming even more adorable! See you again soon!
